In winter of 1999 Pakistan launch an operatio to try to capture some of the Indian post at Kargil district along the line of control. This lead to a war between India and Pakistan. I know all of you know the story. But you dont know that India wants to do same with Pakistan. This operation known as Operation Kabaddi. In this operation India want to cross LOC and captur at least 25 to 30 post of Pakistan. These posts are important to India because they were housing terrorist who were killing many of our soldiers. The operation is in final stage. Planning of the operation was started at January 2001 and it was decided that every Brigade which is part of the operation will capture at least 1 to 2 post of Pakistan. The operation expected to start on September 2001. But due to the unfortunate terrorist attack on 11 September 2001 also known as 9/11 in America. Causing this operation to be stopped. Because India didn't want to give message to international community that India wanted to take advantage of the terrorist attack in America. Thus India stopped operation Kabaddi. This was very unfortunate but necessary decision. The story of operation like this tells us that there is a little known then unknown about Indian Army. And the best way to honour the Army is never question the Army believe what they say.
